Day 2 moves the household from breakfast to the hunt to Alexandra's bath, and closes in the cellar. It has fewer hard code locks than Day 1 but more achievements you can miss permanently by doing a chore correctly the first time.
If you are hunting a specific answer, the four things people get stuck on are the coffee, the perfect hunt, the bathing tiles and the mouse in the cellar wall.
Morning — Coffee for Aldous
The coffee chore has a right answer and a better answer.
Green beans will get you through the scene. They will not get you the achievement.
Serving Mr. Aldous his Favorite Coffee. Roast the beans on the stove and then grind them. Roasting alone looks finished — the beans visibly change — which is why the grind step gets skipped. The official clue: "Green Coffee isn't the tastiest. Roasted Coffee Beans are better." Full steps on the coffee page.
Morning — Waking William
William is a heavier sleeper than Aldous and the tools are different.
Tickling Mr. William. You are carrying a feather from earlier. The obvious target is his feet — that is not the achievement. Use the feather on his face and keep going until he tells you to stop. The clue: "You have a feather! Toes aren't your only victim."
Afternoon — Cleaning the floors
An ordinary chore block with one hidden extra.
Deep Cleaning. Take the brush to the family portrait in the kitchen and scrub it. The official clue — "There is blood and what else? This drawing is helpful but…" — points at the portrait rather than the floor you were told to clean.
Afternoon — Going hunting
A Perfect Hunt. Every animal killed with no missed shot at all. You are given more bullets than targets and that surplus is not a margin — a miss counts even with ammunition to spare. If you miss, reload rather than finishing the scene.
Sources disagree on the counts: the in-game clue says five targets and ten bullets, a community guide reports six animals and nine bullets. The condition is the same either way — count what your own hunt screen shows and do not miss. See the perfect hunt page.
Evening — The bath
Close Inspection. Before you help, look through the keyhole of the second-floor bathroom door. The clue: "You don't need a key to see inside. Who is in the bathroom?"
The bathing tile puzzle. You are asked to pick from a grid of tiles. The four to select are:
- Aleksandra
- the bath
- the suitcase
- the severed hand
Write that set down. The same four tiles are re-entered during the post-credits secret, and being wrong there means walking all three days again.
There is also a separate window interaction after the bath — six glass panes clicked to an order taken from earlier notes. That is not the tile grid, and we do not have the pane order from a source we can verify. Both are covered on the bathing tiles page.
Cleaning the Windows. Once Alexandra is in the bath, wipe the window. "Something else needs to be cleaned. The windows are a little foggy."
Night — Balcony and cellar
Garbage Disposal. On the balcony, throw everything over the edge. The clue is blunt about it: "This is disgusting! Throw them down! The balcony isn't a trashcan!"
Pest Control — the hole in the cellar wall. This one is a three-step trap and most players stop after step one:
Take both the hammer and the magnet down with you, and at the fork go left — that is the side the hole is on.
- Use the magnet on the hole to pull out the key.
- Click the hole again — this draws the mouse out.
- When the mouse comes back, hit it with the sledgehammer.
The official clue only says "The hole is inhabited. Use the sledgehammer!", which is why so many players walk away after collecting the key. Full detail on the pest control page.
Day 2 done. Continue to Day 3, or check the hidden achievement list before you move on — several Day 2 achievements cannot be picked up once the day ends. Going for everything in one run? See the 100% completion guide.
Still to be confirmed
We could not verify the following against more than one source, so we have left it out rather than guess. This page is updated as confirmations come in.
- The full item-by-item route through Day 2 Afternoon cleaning — the community guides cover the achievements but skip the ordinary chore steps.
- The window-pane order after the bath. One source describes six panes clicked to a note-based order but does not give the order.
- Exact target and bullet counts on the hunt — sources disagree. See the perfect hunt page.
