Light spoilers. This page names rooms, items and characters you meet, but keeps the story beats out of it.

Servant of the Lake hides most of its optional content behind interactions that a competent playthrough never performs. Roughly half the game's 49 Steam achievements are hidden ones, and a large share of those fire only when you deliberately do a chore badly.

Start here

The pattern behind the hidden achievements

Once you see it, most of them become predictable. The game hands you a task, and the achievement is somewhere in the space of not doing that task properly:

  • Asked to lead the exercises → fail them until Aldous gets stuck.
  • Asked to bring Alexandra a bouquet → let the goat eat it first.
  • Asked to give William the champagne → give it to the baby.
  • Asked to clean the floors → scrub the family portrait instead.
  • Asked to collect the key from the hole → click it again and kill what comes out.

The second pattern is persistence. Several achievements need the same click ten or twenty times — petting the horse, chasing the crow, dusting past the third painting. The official clues say so ("One click may not be enough"), but the game gives no feedback until the threshold is hit, so it feels like nothing is happening right up until it works.

What is missable

Achievements are tied to their day-block and cannot be picked up once the block ends. The good news is that a save can be reloaded to the start of a block, and the deliberate-failure ones do not prevent you from completing the task correctly afterwards.

The one thing you genuinely cannot rush is the final secret — it does not exist until the credits have rolled.
